Headwall HyperspecIII
The Headwall HyperspecIII plugin can be loaded by selecting Headwall > Headwall HyperspecIII from the Live acquisition tab in the New project dialog.
Supported cameras
The following cameras are known to work with perClass Mira through the plugin:
Dependencies
This plugin requires the Headwall Hyperspec III SDK, which installs the DLLs listed below along with their default installation directories. The directories containing the DLLs should be added to the PATH environment variable (see Plugin loading).
- hpiSdk.dll: C:\Headwall\HSIII64
- Extra dependencies: C:\Headwall\HSIII64\Plugins
An extra environment variable called QT_QPA_PLATFORM_PLUGIN_PATH needs to be created as well, the value should be set to C:\Headwall\HSIII64\platforms.
Configuration
mira.ini
The Headwall HyperspecIII plugin has the following options available in the mira.ini file under the acq_HeadwallHyperspec section:
- varsIniPath: the path to the vars.ini file, defaults to C:/Headwall/HSIII64/vars.ini.
- configJsonPath: the path to the config.json file, defaults to C:/Headwall/HSIII64/config.json.
Troubleshooting
For issues with loading the plugin, see Plugin loading.
Freeze when initializing camera
A known issue with the HyperspecIII plugin is that perClass Mira may freeze when initializing the camera if there are multiple HyperspecIII plugins found. To prevent this, the older plugins should be removed from the bin subdirectory of the perClass Mira installation, by default C:\Program Files\perClass Mira\bin. Open that directory in explorer and check if there are multiple DLLs files with a name starting with miraacq_hyperspec_, if there are multiple, then delete all except for the one with the highest version.
